The 2 Most Romantic Restaurants in South Jersey Are in Cape May
I love you. You love me. Let's eat!
If you're looking for a romantic spot to celebrate your love, a couple of Cape May restaurants have been named among the 100 most romantic restaurants in the United States.
Perhaps a stroll along the beach, or among the little shops in town on Washington Street before dining at one of these Cape May eateries.
Open Table, the dining reservation app, is out with its annual list, and there are more restaurants on the list from Cape May than the rest of the state.
Making the list are Tisha's and the Washington Inn - both on Washington Street in Cape May.
With Valentine's Day coming up, though, Tisha's is not an option. According to their website, Tisha's is currently closed, slated to reopen on March 10th. The Washington Inn has been closed for the season, but they are scheduled to reopen Thursday, February 9.
Tisha's is described on their website as "Our New American cuisine is sure to please even the most sophisticated palates. Offering both indoor and al fresco dining for lunch and dinner."
The Washington Inn was built in 1846 and was meant to resemble the architecture of George Washington's Mount Vernon. According to their website, "The Washington Inn prides itself on warm hospitality and exceptional New American cuisine. During your visit to the Washington Inn, it is easy to find comfort in the people and food as the spirit of hospitality is alive and well."
The only other New Jersey restaurant mentioned by Open Table is 618 in Freehold.
