TGI Friday’s Restaurant in Marlton, NJ Has Closed for Good
Call it a sign of the times. We don't have to like it. One of South Jersey's only remaining T.G.I. Friday's has reportedly closed for good.
Bummer.
Back in the day, T.G.I. Friday's was THE place to be. You'd spot the restaurant sign and right away know, that no matter what day of the week, it was always a Friday inside T.G.I. Friday's.
It was the go-to hang for happy hour, after a movie, or whenever you had a serious hankering for apps.
Hey millennials and Gen Zers, once upon a time we used the word 'apps' as an abbreviation for appetizers, something I think I first discovered at T.G.I. Friday's, but I digress.
The T.G.I. Friday's on Route 73 in Marlton, once a bustling scene thanks to its prime location in the Greentree Square shopping center as well as its close proximity to the AMC movie theater, has permanently closed, according to 42freeway.com.
Who outdoes mozzarella sticks or loaded potato skins better than T.G.I. Friday's? Literally NO ONE.
But if you want to get your T.G.I. Friday's on on a Friday or any other day of the week, you'll have to go beyond Marlton.
The closing of the Marlton location leaves only Turnersville, Cherry Hill, and Mount Holly left in South Jersey. There are locations a little further away but still in existence in Manahawkin, Toms River, and Brick.
Crossing my fingers those remaining three T.G.I. Friday's hang in there!
