I've got a few opinions now that Taylor Swift's dropped her new Netflix documentary, Miss Americana.

I'd been counting down the days to January 31st since the moment I first found out Taylor Swift intended to release a long-form window into her life. I could not wait to get home from the station and plant myself on the couch.

I'm a behind-the-scenes JUNKIE. Especially recording studio footage. So, I was really excited that Miss Americana would feature a lot of Taylor in the studio. What I DIDN'T expect was, within the first five minutes, to wonder if the documentary was going to change my opinion about TSwizz for the WORSE.

I'll let you watch my review below, but I'll say that I really don't like when an artist doesn't take ownership of their OWN work. And if a single or an album isn't the MOST commercially successful thing ever, the artist negates that and, in hindsight, bastardizes that work. Especially when they're the ones who WROTE those works, ya know?

Having said that, I do think that if Taylor naysayers take the time to watch Miss Americana, they may see her differently, and maybe have more empathy, understanding, and respect for her.

What did you think of Miss Americana? Let me know in the comment box below.

P.S. The doc featured a brand new Taylor Swift song called 'Only The Young'. Take a listen below.
