John Tortorella invited Guy Gaudreau, father of the late Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, to assist at training camp on Monday. There is hope that Gaudreau can join the Flyers more in the future.

An interesting trade between the Philadelphia Flyers and Anaheim Ducks happened during the first period of the Flyers 4-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday Night

The Flyers will buy out forward Oskar Lindblom, who was set to enter the final year of a three-year deal in the 2022-23 season, placing him on conditional waivers on Tuesday afternoon. His current cap hit was $3 million and the buyout saves the Flyers $3.33 million toward the cap.

The Flyers have hired John Tortorella as the 23rd head coach in franchise history.

There has been little development in the Flyers coaching search over the last few days. For many of the teams in search of a head coach in the NHL – only the New York Islanders and Montreal Canadiens have officially named a head coach – it seems that everything is in a holding pattern.

These are four names that many people will bring up, but what the Flyers need to do is find a new young voice and start to dismantle this core group of players.

The Flyers have fired head coach Alain Vigneault on Monday. Assistant coach Michel Therrien was also fired. Mike Yeo will take over as interim head coach.
