The remains of the late Sopranos star, and New Jersey resident James Gandolfini have been flown to the United States.

Gandolfini died in Rome on Wednesday at the age of 51, autopsy reports revealed that he died of a heart attack.

 

A funeral service is set for Thursday morning in New York City.

 

Governor Chris Christie has ordered all state buildings to fly flags at half-staff today in honor of Gandolfini.

 

According to NBC 10, 'Christie has called the actor, acclaimed for his role as mobster Tony Soprano, a “New Jersey treasure.'
