With gas prices going up, planning your summer vacation may prove to be more costly than you may expect.  Fact is that rising fuel costs will affect all modes of transportation, so you will pay if you fly, drive, or even take the train.  It may only be spring now, but it's never too early to plan your stay-at-home vacation that will see some cool things in South Jersey along the shore.

We are seeing more and more over the last few years the concept of a "Stay-Cation" becoming very popular, due to rising costs to go away, along with the economy affecting may people in numerous ways.  A "Stay-Cation" can be more fun than you think - most people more day trips in this situation, and South Jersey have many great places to enjoy for the day, plus many places are making upgrades to entice you to come on over.

Trudi Gilfillian and Lee Procida did a story on Friday for the Press of Atlantic City that talked about the Millions of dollars that are being poured into places like Morey’s Piers in Wildwood and North Wildwood, The Steel Pier by Trump's casino on the Boardwalk in A.C., and  Gillian’s Wonderland Pier in Ocean City to name a few.

Places like these are hoping you will have a "Stay-Cation" this summer and come to their places.  That does not seem so bad does it?  Name me one kid who would not love a day at Gillian's, or Morey's?  Factor in all the great places to dine out in South Jersey (from the simple to the exotic), and of course the beach, your summer will be very satisfying for every member of the family.
