It turns out your book could be overdue by 50 years, and you'll only be charged $3 in this New Jersey library.

I've always wondered what happens if I never returned a library book - now I have some sort of an idea. (Although kind of disappointed to know that library police aren't involved.)

On Thursday, someone finally dropped off a copy of Jules Vernes "Dropped From The Clouds" after it was checked out in 1967! Check out the post from this North Jersey library:

Time for a nice math problem: if you checked out a library book 50 years ago, and it cost 10 cents every day it's late, how much do you owe? ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS.

Sadly, this library caps off at $3.

And I thought the late fee I paid at Ventnor library was a steal.
