These days, life is all about what you can do from a distance. So, it's super cool that Six Flags Great Adventure is reopening it's safari for the first time in eight years so that you and your family can drive through and visit with all the animals!

Lions, and tigers, and bears, OH MY? Oh yes!

NJ Gov. Phil Murphy’s just put into effect an executive order permitting drive-through events that adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Drive-through guests to the park in Jackson, N.J. will be invited to enjoy the Safari’s 1,200 exotic animals from the privacy and safety of their own vehicles. Great Adventure is in the process of finalizing new safety procedures to protect visitors, staff, and animals.

To prevent overcrowding, the Safari experience will require advance registration using Six Flags’ new online reservation system. Once the opening date is confirmed, the reservation system will be activated at SixFlags.com/reserve. Sales will not be available at the gate, and guests without advance reservations may not enter.

For now, the main Great Adventure theme park and Hurricane Harbor waterpark will remain closed until further notice to stay in line state, local, and federal COVID-19 guidelines.

We'll let you know as SOON as the Safari sets its opening date.
