ORIGINAL POST (2/24): The first few new Dancing With the Stars familiar faces preparing to cha-cha their way into your hearts, according to confirmation from US Weekly: Champion Olympic gymnast Simone Biles and 1980s TV star, retired wrestler and known fool-pitier Mr. T have joined the Season 24 cast.
But wait, there's more: Variety reports that a Fifth Harmony member is also a possibility. Our hunch is that it's Ally Brooke, though we'd love to see Normani Kordei dance across our TV screens, too.
Biles follows in the footsteps of her 2016 teammate, Laurie Hernandez, who took home the Season 23 Mirror Ball trophy last November. And she's not the only Olympic name the series is reportedly courting: Nancy Kerrigan — whose name is currently back in the headlines with Margot Robbie filming Tonya Harding biopic I, Tonya — may sign on.
Other former Olympian DWTS competitors have included Ryan Lochte, Nastia Liukin, ice dancer Charlie White, Hope Solo, Kristi Yamaguchi and Apolo Ohno (twice). It's almost definitely as if a professional athlete has a natural advantage!
Also in talks to join, according to US? Current Bachelor Nick Viall, a four-time franchise mainstay who is clearly adored by ABC. Is Nick just petrified to go back to a life of software sales at this point?
Dancers Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd will make their return to the show this season after welcoming a baby boy in January, the show announced on February 21.
We'll find out who's officially joining when Good Morning America reveals the full cast on March 1. DWTS Season 24 premieres on March 20.
