Leave it to the Lifetime TV network to unearth the deep, dark secrets of what really happened behind the scenes of the cult teen phenomenon Saved by the Bell.  On September 1, Lifetime will air The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story.  Meet the cast and see if they live up to the originals!

Principal Belding always wanted to know, "Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! What is going on here?"  According to Lifetime, we're about to find out.

The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story tell-all TV movie promises to pull back the curtain of the popular '90s series and its six young actors, Mark Paul Gosselar, Mario Lopez, Dustin Diamond, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley, and Lark Voorhees.

In 2009, Diamond, who portrayed Bell's Screech, divulged tales of drugs, hookups and other not-so-PG activities in his book Behind the Bell. Lifetime, however, claims their version of what really happened on the set of the fictional Bayside High School is based on hours of new interviews with those closely connected to the comedy.

The TV movie will feature a group of six young actors hand-picked by the original Saved by the Bell casting director, Robin Lippin, to play Zac, Slater, Screech, Kelly, Jessie, and Lisa.

But let's get one thing straight.  NO ONE can live up to the original cast.  NO ONE, they were six of the most beautiful people on the planet.  Ok, maybe five.  (Sorry Screechie)

So set those DVR's now, The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story airs Sept. 1 at 9 p.m on Lifetime.
