Scientists have now developed a way for people to wipe out their worst memories, almost exactly like the movie 'Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind.'

If you've never seen the movie 'Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind,' it follows the story of Joel, who wants to erase the memories he's had with his ex-girlfriend, Clementine. Granted, Clementine erases any memory of their relationship first, still this poses the question: if you had the ability to erase the worst memories of your life - would you?

Scientists have found a way to erase emotional anxiety ATTACHED with bad memories, without erasing the memories entirely. Using the drug 'propanolol,' the memory is changed and resaved in the brain.

So, using the example NY Post uses: if you had a bad experience with a spider and were afraid of them ever since. The drug would then wipe out the emotion tied to the experience expelling the fear.

Personally, as bad as a memory is, I wouldn't want to erase it. I think any bad or 'worst' experience I went through molded me as a person. But the article does bring a point that it could help people suffering from PTSD, like our veterans for instance.

Definitely giving me a different perspective on erasing bad memories.

If you had the opportunity to erase bad memories, would you?
