One Atlantic, one of Atlantic City's premiere wedding venues, is sadly closing its doors. Unfortunately, the word is that the popular South Jersey wedding venue located on the pier outside Caesar's just couldn't recover from the havoc that was wreaked by the COVID-19 pandemic. Of course, they're not the only business that had to close up shop due to COVID-19, but it's sad that such a beloved place literally in the business of celebrating love couldn't bounce back.

A husband-and-wife photography team who are vendors of the venue said in their blog that they hope another interested party will come forward to take ownership of the place. If that indeed does happen, then maybe the doors of One Atlantic won't be closed for too long.

If you're wondering what happens now for the people who had weddings on the books there, well, the only thing you can do is pray they had wedding insurance. If there's anything the pandemic taught us, it's the importance of having some sort of protection for the thousands of dollars people spend on their wedding day. As we all saw over the past year or two, just because you put the deposit down, doesn't mean the big day's going to happen.

Still, maybe One Atlantic will open their doors again someday. For now, it's time to say goodbye. One Atlantic will be officially closing up shop on November 30, 2021.
