Burlington and Camden counties are part of the area approved for disaster relief after Winter Storm Jonas back in January.

Courier-Post reports, President Obama has approved federal relief following the major blizzard. This federal aid is given to 'state and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations.'

In South Jersey the following counties have been approved: Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, and Ocean County. For now, Gloucester appears to not be on this list yet.

The federal funding has been provided for emergency storm-related repairs in 17 countries across New Jersey.

If you remember back in January, we experienced quite a bit of snow and flooding. The storm left behind one-two feet of snow and even caused significant flooding along the shore.

Courier-Post's report also mentions that additional designations will be made based off of further damage assessments. Hopefully this will include more counties in South Jersey.
