Popular Cherry Hill Deli Back to Serving Up Cheesesteaks After COVID Shutdown
Chick's Deli in Cherry Hill, popular for its cheesesteaks, is finally back to serving its patrons after one of its employees tested positive for coronavirus, forcing the establishment to close.
Chick's, located in a small space on Township Lane, temporarily shut down on December 6th, and has since undergone an extensive cleaning to disinfect the deli, according to Courier Post. The workers who have returned have reportedly all tested negative for COVID-19. As for the employee who test positive, they're still recovering from the virus, and will eventually be allowed back to work at Chick's once they also test negative.
Chick's co-owner Ken Landis tells Courier Post, 'It's something we take very seriously. Everybody agrees safety comes first.'

Chick's Deli has been serving the Cherry Hill community for more than 60 years. It has been solely reliant on take-out orders amid the pandemic. Landis says, 'We've known for a long time that we're blessed with a very loyal customer base.'
