A Rowan College student was sitting in class Friday, when he suddenly felt his iPhone 6 Plus starting to get really hot.

Now, there have been stories circulating of 'Samsung Galaxy Note 7' batteries catching fire. But I haven't read about any recent iPhone exploding stories lately.

According to CBS 3, Darin Hlvaty was taking notes in class when he noticed smoke and felt like something was burning. When he took his iPhone out, he immediately threw it to the ground. Once it hit the floor, the iPhone completely went aflame.

Luckily the only thing that was injured were his jeans, but it could have been worse.

As a safety precaution, students at Rowan College in Burlington County were evacuated.

I'll admit, there are times my phone does get over heated. It could be something to possibly watch out for.
