Thanks to hard work from the State Police, Manchester Township Police Department, and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, $1 million worth of heroin has been taken off the streets.

On Wednesday, March 1st, detectives located and arrested 43-year-old Artemio Gayton of Manchester Township after a week-long investigation.

State Police say they discovered Gayton was distributing heroin in Manchester Township. Gayton was arrested during a car stop and further investigation led detectives to Gayton’s residence where they seized 10 kilograms of heroin worth $1 million.

Gayton was charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to distribute. He was released pending a court appearance.
