NJ Police Are on the Hunt for People Who Drink and Drive This Holiday Season
The holiday season is here are so are the holiday celebrations with family and friends during this very difficult and challenging year.
The one thing that hasn't changed this holiday season is the dangers of drinking and driving. Whenever alcohol is involved, you need to realize how dangerous of a risk it is to drink and drive.
New Jersey police will be on the lookout for those who drink and drive through the holidays as the semi annual "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" program gets underway according to NJ.com. The program will be in effect until January 1st, 2021.
Last year, police made, 1,380 DWI arrests during the 2019 holiday season. Police alos gave out 4,960 speeding tickets and 2,023 seat belt summonses for those who didn't buck up.
Police will receive extra funds from The Division of Highway Traffic Safety and will be on the lookout for people who drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Police in the following South Jersey towns will have additional patrols and increased funds from the 2019 "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" holiday campaign and will be looking for drivers who are foolish enough to drink and drive this holiday season.
