By now you are well aware that Tom Brady officially announced his retirement from the NFL.

Brady leaves the game regarded as the greatest quarterback of all time, finishing his career No. 1 all-time in both passing yards (84,520) and touchdowns (624).

He also reached an incredible ten Super Bowls and winning seven -- six with the Patriots and one with Tampa during his 22 seasons in the league.

One of the Super Bowls he lost of course came at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII back in 2017.

In that game, Eagles quarterback Nick Foles completed 28-of-43 passes for 373 yards passing and three TDs to one interception to help lead the Eagles to their first-ever Super Bowl.

Brady went 28-of-48 for 505 yards and three touchdowns in the loss. 

After the game, a lot of people noticed that Brady never met Foles at midfield and shook his hand.

Well on Tuesday, Foles congratulated Brady with a great picture. taken the week of the Super Bowl, with the two shaking hands.

"Must respect Tom. Unbelievable career. Best of luck with your next chapter," Foles tweeted.

As for Brady, the 44-year old retires after leading the NFL in completions, yardage, and touchdowns in his final season.

"It's best I leave the field of play to the next generation of dedicated and committed athletes," Brady stated.

Brady's story will likely never be duplicated ever again, he was a sixth-round pick in the 2000 NFL Draft – 199th overall.  He won seven Super Bowl titles, three league MVPs, and five Super Bowl MVPs.

His last NFL win of his 22-year career came against Philadelphia, completing 29-of-37 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns in the Buccaneers 31-15 Wild Card win over the Eagles.
