New Music Review: Christina Perri is Only ‘Human’ [AUDIO/POLL]

Christina Perri first came to fame in 2010 when her haunting ballad 'Jar of Hearts' gave every girl a 'you'll regret breaking up with me' revenge anthem.  She went on to delight Twilight: Breaking Dawn fans with 'A Thousand Years', and even dueted with Jason Mraz.  Now Christina shares 'Human', the first single from her upcoming album.

'Human' is a lovely departure from all the 'I am woman, hear me roar' kinds of tracks we've gotten lately from artists like Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, and Sara Bareilles.  Perri gives over that she is only human, a strong but flawed individual, capable of intense love but also mistakes.  While Perri's past singles have verged on monotone, 'Human' is rich and dramatic, and showcases Perri's strong vocal range.  The follow-up album to 2011's Lovestrong, which also featured the single 'Arms', is expected to be released in the Spring of 2014.
