If you love history and you love food, the two join in a beautiful ballet less than an hour away. imagine eating at a great restaurant that has been serving happy customers for two and a half centuries.

And this amazing, historic place is so close it's almost a shame if you've never eaten there. it's only about 25 minutes from Freehold and only about 45 minutes from Brick. Redbook calls it "the oldest restaurant in your area that you have to visit ASAP".

That's high praise from a well-respected sight, and why not? The Cranbury Inn has been serving food to happy customers since the mid to late century. That's the mid to late 18th century.

So, to put it in perspective, the Cranbury Inn was doing its thing since before our great nation was, well, even a nation. And it's still going strong. That's pretty astonishing. You can read about their extensive history on their website.

These days, the Historic Cranbury Inn Restaurant is serving up some great food and also hosting some wonderful events, and after over 250 years, they've gained a reputation as one of the best venues around.

The Cranbury Inn has great lunch and dinner menus, too. On that dinner menu, you can find great selections like their legendary Filet Mignon, Roasted Duckling, and Pan Seared Salmon.

We're pretty sure those items were not on the menu in the late 1750's, for those colonial travelers who just needed something to eat, something to drink, and a fresh horse. It's unbelievable what history happened in this amazing place over the last two and a half centuries.
