South Jersey is in for a treat this weekend! A rare glimpse of the Northern Lights could be visible this weekend!

Yes, it's happening again! You might remember that New Jersey was able to see it back in November 2015, and the chance has come around again.

Patch.com says forecasters have predicted auroral activity will be high this Saturday. According to the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute, New Jersey is definitely in for a rare treat!

The Northern Lights will be visible as far as southern Annapolis, and on Sunday it will be as far south as Boston!

I'm telling you, I was so excited when Mike gave me the news, since it's always been on my bucket list. Now, I know it's going to be a rainy weekend in South Jersey, but hopefully we won't miss our chance to see it!

Patch.com says the best way to see it, is to drive far away from any city lights. We should be able to see the lights if we look toward the north pole (take out your compass for that one because I sure as heck don't really know what direction that is).

And keep your eyes open between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m!
