New Jersey ALDI Stores Recall Certain Cream Cheeses Over Salmonella Concerns
Several varieties of cream cheese sold at ALDI stores in New Jersey have been recalled over concerns of contamination.
The cream cheese were reportedly sold at stores in more than two dozen states including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
ALDI Cream Cheeses Sold in NJ May Be Contaminated with Salmonella
Four varieties of Happy Farms cream cheese products may have been contaminated with Salmonella, Patch.com reports.
According to Centers for Disease Control, Salmonella is a bacteria that when ingested can bring on symptoms like fever, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. It's particularly dangerous to babies, the elderly, and the immunocompromised.
ALDI customers who purchased the affected cream cheese are advised not to consume the products and to throw them away.

The following Happy Farms cream cheese products sold at New Jersey ALDI store fall under the Food & Drug Administration recall:
- Chive & Onion Cream Cheese, 8 oz. cups with UPC code 4099100101751, Sell By Dates 9/13/24, and 9/22/24.
- Cream Cheese Spread, 8 oz. cups w/UPC code 4099100101737, Sell By Dates 9/1/24, 9/8/24, and 9/15/24.
- Strawberry Cream Cheese Spread, 8 oz. cups with UPC code 4099100101744, Sell By Dates 9/8/24, and 9/15/24.
- Whipped Cream Cheese Spread, 8 oz. cups w/UPC 4099100101881, Sell By Dates 8/30/24, 8/31/24, 9/1/24, 9/3/24, and 9/4/24.
Locally, ALDI operates stores in Egg Harbor Township, Turnersville, Cherry Hill, and Collingswood.
