Ever wonder where the most concentrated number of wealthy households are in New Jersey? A new list has just ranked them for you.

GoBankingRates, a finance website, put together research to find out where America's richest towns are located, Patch.com reports.

The study reportedly used American Community Survey data from every U.S. municipality consisting of 5,000 or more households and narrowed them down to the 50 that had the highest average income per household.

The research found that the majority of the country's richest towns are located along the east coast, including five in New Jersey.

GoBankingRates found that the richest suburban zip codes in the Garden State have residents who make at least $269,000 a year and home values of at least $967,000.

In New Jersey's richest town, ranked 26th overall nationally, the annual household income is just over $291,000 and the largest number of homes valued at $1.2 million.
