Neuroscientist Breaks Down Why Your Brain Hears Yanny vs. Laurel

When it comes to the Yanny vs. Laurel debate, which got incredibly heated here at SoJO last week, we need to turn to science to explain why some of us are hearing one word and some the other.

It comes down to a case of high frequency and low frequency, and how well you hear both, according to a video posted to YouTube by Wired. One thing's for sure: This now infamous audio clip has been driving us all mad. I even had a huge fight with my husband, and then an inner conflict when I went from hearing Yanny in the morning to Laurel later that day!
