Have you ever wanted to attend an awards show? Here's your chance!

MTV has been doing the Video Music Awards practically since the network signed on about 35 years ago. They are usually held in Los Angeles or New York. But for the first time ever, the VMAs are coming to NJ at the Prudential Center in Newark.

The show will go down August 26 at 9 p.m. and will honor the best music videos of 2019, but more importantly, feature performances by music's biggest names.

So why New Jersey? Bruce Gillmer of Viacom said:

New Jersey has an incredible music heritage and is home to some of the world’s biggest artists including ‘Chairman of the Board’ Frank Sinatra, ‘The Boss’ Bruce Springsteen, Queen Latifah, Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston, the Jonas Brothers, the Fugees, and Halsey. The list is wide and endless. Now the moon person plants its flag to celebrate all that New Jersey has given to music fans around the globe.

No word on when tickets will go on sale. Watch this space!
