Millville Police announced on Facebook Monday that they had captured Deszarae Hannah. Police having been searching for Hannah for almost a year, accusing her a driving a car that hit a victim and caused her to lose part of her leg.

Police have been looking for Hannah, 29, of Millville, since April 23, 2019, when she allegedly ran into a woman with her car at Oakview Apartments.

The victim, a 24-year-old Vineland woman, suffered a crushed pelvis and lost a portion of her left leg because of this incident.

Police say Hannah’s Toyota Avalon struck the victim, who was standing in the apartment complex parking lot and then continued forward, hitting a parked car and pinning the victim between both vehicles.

Hannah was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, assault by auto,  and numerous other charges and indicted on 12 counts in September.

Millville Police did not say how they came to capture Hannah in their Facebook post.
