April 30th marks National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day. Ahead of the campaign, legendary Philly sports broadcaster Merrill Reese is using his famous voice to help champion the cause.

Burlington County Animal Shelter reportedly enlisted the Philadelphia Eagles announcer in hopes of encouraging residents, and maybe Eagles football fans, to offer  shelter dogs, cats and other animals a loving 'fur-ever' home, according to Patch.com.

If there's anyone that make someone stop what they're doing and listen to what they're saying, it's Merrill Reese. He may have a booming voice, but you can tell underneath it's so full of passion and heart.

Not to mention, adopting a shelter pet is so rewarding. It saves an animal from a life spent living in a cage, waiting for love, but also can GIVE so much love back.

During the month of April, while Reeses' public service announcement airs on local radio, Burlington County Animal Shelter in Westampton is reportedly taking $25 off all adoption fees!

On behalf of Burlington Co. Animal Shelter and Mr. Merrill Reese, I hope you'll seriously consider adopting a shelter pet. Remember how Merrill sounded the moment the Eagles won Super Bowl 52? Imagine how enthusiastic he'd be if he knew hearing his PSA persuaded you to give a loving home to a pet in need!
