I literally cannot wait for this launch. I won't be able to get to my local McDonald's fast enough. I'm all about a good plant-based burger. And I'm a McDonald's girl. So, if they can make their McPlant burger taste even close to a Quarter Pounder, I'm all in.

I was a vegetarian for eight years. Even though I don't adhere to quite that strick a diet now, I do love a good meatless burger. I make them at home all the time. It's a good option to have if you're needing or wanting fast food. It truly is better for you and for the environment. Especially, if you're an animal lover.

McDonald's plans to roll out the McPlant in a few test markets, according to CNN.com. It's reportedly been crafted with the company Beyond Meat.

And the McPlant isn't the only new menu item heading our way. The McChicken will soon be introduced as well. It's a smart move given the popularity of Chick-fil-A and those chicken sandwiches at Popeye's that the nation went bonkers over. Church's Chicken is also introducing its first chicken sandwich this month.

According to CNN, McDonald's has committed to an 'enhanced grilling' approach and toastier buns for its burgers and sandwiches.

Have you tried the Impossible Whopper or the meatless sandwiches offered by Dunkin'? And are you excited for McDonald's McPlant burger? Let me know in the comment box below.
