A 3-alarm blaze left businesses and apartment buildings damaged late last night in Atlantic City.

According to NBC 40, 'flames tore through at least three businesses and two floors of apartments on Atlantic Avenue, everyone who lived here somehow made it out alive.

The fire was reported on the first floor of 1114 Atlantic Ave inside a consignment shop and we had found upon arrival that eight to 10 people self evacuated the second floor of the fire," said Atlantic City Fire Chief Dennis Brooks.

As the flames continued to rage on, other units from surrounding towns arrived on the scene and the fire grew to three alarms.

An investigation is currently ongoing.
