It was a prosperous Christmas Eve eve for one man from Maple Shade, Burlington County.

Luke Martin was a contestant on the December 23rd episode of the game show Wheel of Fortune.

Martin, a toy store manager who now lives in N. Hollywood, California, got off to a great start, solving the night's first puzzle. He quickly racked up $15,250 in winnings, but not enough to advance to the Final Round.

Martin credits his grandparents for burgeoning his love of Wheel of Fortune. He recalled to host Pat Sajak growing up watching the game show with his Mom Mom and Pop Pop, and still has memories of hearing the clicking of the wheel as it spun and the pinging of the letters on the puzzle board.

It's always great to see someone from South Jersey make it onto national television. Even though Luke wasn't the night's most successful contestant, he competed well! P.S. Martin also credits himself as a very fast and precise gift wrapper!

Congrats, Luke!
