Man Falls 40 Feet From Revel Escalator [VIDEO]

Police reported a man has fallen 40 - 44 from an escalator inside Atlantic City's newest resort, Revel Casino. The incident happened earlier this morning around 1:30am.  The man survived but was seriously injured and taken to nearby AtlantiCare.  Police are saying it was accidental but are investigating and reviewing video for more information.  Witnesses on the scene said the man was traveling up the escalator and "fooling around".  He then sat on the rubber handle and fell backwards 40 feet into the lobby.  This news is not complimentary for Revel, as Atlantic City is slated to release it's August financial number later in the day...

If you have been to the Revel, you know the main escalator is quite impressive as you enter the building.  Ever since the opening back in March, one of my thoughts was how long it would take for an incident to happen.  Well I guess my answer is 6 months.
