A New Jersey conman living in Ventnor City promised women love, then ran away with their money. And, this isn't his first time scamming women through dating sites.

Patrick Giblin is quite the charmer!

The single 52-year old has been charged with scamming women across the United States, by promising them he would move to their state and start a life together.

These single, desperate and vulnerable women were more than willing to wire him money, that added up to the thousands.

Instead of doing the right thing, he ran away with their money! Mind you, some of the women are widows, single mothers, and in one situation, a woman who recently lost her son.

According to two sites, this isn't his first offense either.

Back in 2006, Giblin served 115 months in federal prison on 10 counts of fraud after conning 50 women out of more than $200,000.

Then after he was released, he went right back to his old ways. This time, Giblin kept detailed notes of these women despite claims that he wasn't scamming again. Meanwhile more women wired him money between 2012 through 2014 in hopes their love was returned.

Finally on Monday, Giblin stood before US Magistrate Judge Ann Marie Donio in Camden.

If convicted, Giblin faces up to 20 years in prison and a possible $250,000 fine.

You have to read the full detailed reports from either Philly.com or Press of Atlantic City. I left out a lot of details for the sake of getting the juicy parts. But trust me, it's worth the read! I was so appalled he fed off the loneliness of these poor women.

Hopefully justice will be served.
