It's bad enough that they work off such a low base pay, and need to depend on tips to survive, but according to a post that's gone viral on Tik-Tok, they now have to be extra vigilant, to ensure they don't get caught up in a scam.
This may seem innocent enough, but experts say texts like these could be dangerous. Many times, texts like these contain links that when clicked, could download malicious software on your phone.
It's important to note that these scammers prey on elderly folks who like to the access that the internet provides them, but aren't technologically sophisticated enough to know they're being scammed.
