A red-tailed boa has been eluding capture in Lower Township for the past several days. The good news is the snake's owner has been found... the bad news is the snake hasn't.

The Press of Atlantic City is reporting the red-tailed boa, originally described as being ten to twelve feet long, is actually about six feet long. It was last seen a few days ago in a tree eating a seagull. The owner says the snake escaped while its cage was being cleaned.

Experts say the snake doesn't pose a major danger, but they say to keep an eye on small pets and children until it is captured. If you see the snake, please contact police as soon as possible.
