It was an incredibly rewarding Thursday night for me at Paris Caterers in Berlin. I was privileged to host the South Jersey Breast Cancer Coalition's Charity Fashion Show honoring local survivors or cancer, domestic violence, and addiction.

I met South Jersey women who've faced and survived multiple battles with cancer. And, also, women who escaped from lives of physical abuse, and drug and alcohol addiction. Women like Josephine, Martha, Mary, Dana, and more.

These warriors strutted down the runway in evening gowns, business chic attire, and summer apparel.

I also learned the story of Carol 'Cazzie' Ehrle Bowne, who lost her life at the hands of an ex-boyfriend.

Thanks to Loretta Mikulski and Patti Miller, both survivors in their own right, the supportive audience of friends and family in attendance, and everyone at the South Jersey Breast Cancer Coalition.
