Local Chef Advances on Food Network Star

Nicole Gaffney survived another round on Food Network Star, even though she was out of her comfort zone.

As part of The Food Network competition, the Brigantine resident had to teach us how to make Chicken Fried Steak. She even laughed about it by saying, 'We don't do chicken fried steak in New Jersey'. (Press of Atlantic City)

The only criticism she received from the judges was her lack of energy, as she was having a hard time concentrating on her performance while also cooking and coming up with a recipe.

She was one of the first contestants to be told that she's safe, but it came along with a homework assignment to work on that energy! We shall see how she does next week, and continue to root for her along the way!
