The Kardashian girls are not having good luck with pro basketball players.  Amid allegations of cheating and drug abuse, Khloe Kardashian has reportedly filed for legal separation from NBA baller Lamar Odom, her husband of three years.

TMZ.com reports Khloe "effectively" declared separation when she threw Lamar out of the house Wednesday, after he refused her family's attempt at staging an intervention.

New rumors claim that Odom spent a few months in rehab for alleged crack cocaine abuse just prior to his final season as a Los Angeles Clipper.  Sources say Lamar was clean through the season, but the drug problem resurfaced recently.  He is now a free agent in the NBA.  Kardashian reportedly enlisted the help of her family to convince Odom to seek more professional help, but the pro player refused, according to People.com.

This seems to be the first time any light has been shed on an Odom crack cocaine addiction.  Back in 2003 he spoke to the Miami Herald in about his marijuana use, Odom said, "I just couldn't control myself in L.A. ... the lifestyle that I was living and the things I had access to ... A lot of times I'd think about it and say, 'Damn, am I fighting my father's demons ... ' "

Drug abuse may not have been the only straw that broke Khloe Kardashian's trust.  Several women have come forward recently claiming extramarital affairs with Odom.  The pair married after just a 3 week courtship, their elaborate nuptials taking place in front of Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality TV cameras. Now it seems divorce may be inevitable.

Earlier this year her older sister Kim finally reached her own divorce settlement with pro basketball player Kris Humphries.
