A young South Jersey boy fighting inoperable brain cancer got the surprise of his life this weekend when his hero Jon Bon Jovi surprised him with a visit.

In spite of his own condition, Mario Carpino, of Swedesboro, wanted to give back to other kids fighting cancer by starting an Alex's Lemonade Stand stand to raise money, reports Fox 29 Philly.

This past Saturday, Jon Bon Jovi, one of the Garden State's most beloved native sons, surprised Mario in person.

Bon Jovi doled out hugs, posed for photos and even helped serve lemonade.

Mario counts “Who Says You Can’t Go Home by Bon Jovi as his favorite song.

Even though Mario's goal was to help others in need, he had a personal wish, asking his mother if Jon could come to his fundraiser at the Woolwich Fire Department .

Mario's Lemonade Stand Facebook page has thousands of likes and even more local shout-outs, gaining the attention of Bon Jovi, and making his biggest wish come true.
