‘Jersey Shore’ Star JWoww Reveals She Suffered a Miscarriage
In tonight's episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Jenni "JWoww" Farley made the tragic announcement that she suffered a miscarriage while dating her now-husband, Roger Mathews, before Jersey Shore season four in 2011.
While speaking with her fellow castmate Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino about the iconic fourth season — which saw Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Deena Cortese be jailed for crashing their motor vehicle and Ronnie Magro's infamous bed-flipping brawl with The Situation — Farley explained how she experienced not one but two heartbreaks not even a month before she boarded for Italy.
"Three to four weeks before Italy, my grandmother passed and me and Roger actually lost a baby…not a lot of people know," the 32-year-old Jersey native recounted in the episode. "They put me on medication because of it because I couldn’t handle life. The medication – it was like Xanax, it would take me down. The downers would make me so groggy, then I would start taking uppers. I segued right into Italy. I was a f—king mess."
Unfortunately for the reality star, this would not be her first pregnancy scare.
In a January 2014 entry on her personal blog, Farley wrote of another frightening experience that led her to think she had miscarried with her first child after noticing a faint line in one of her pregnancy tests.
"I was totally confused so I showed Roger and made him buy two more tests," she published on her now-inactive blog. "Both times I got faint lines but they were barely visible so I still wasn't sure. I looked up everything online and swore I was pregnant but Roger was still skeptical."
Thankfully, the pregnancy tests were determined to be incorrect. By 2014, Farley and her husband would eventually welcome their first child, a daughter named Meilani Alexandra, and then their second, a son called Greyson Valor, just two years later.
