Jersey Shore Car Crash Leaves Two Dead
Monday afternoon in Toms River a motor vehicle accident occurred leaving two dead and two injured.
One vehicle in the crash landed on it's side afterwards. The two-car collision occurred in the eastbound lanes heading towards Seaside Heights around 12:30 p.m. on route 37 at Hospital Drive in Toms River.
Two people were immediately pronounced dead at the scene. The third person, in critical condition, sustained major injuries and was immediately rushed to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Monmouth County to be treated. A fourth and final person was transported to Community Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
No personal information on the victims have yet been released and the cause of the accident is still under investigation by police.
