Come September, the table at ABC's The View will be short two personalities.  Funny ladies Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Sheppard are leaving the daytime talk show.

A source tells People.com that 47-year old Shepherd, who has been part of the program for last seven seasons, couldn't reach a contract agreement with network execs. As for McCarthy, 41, she was let go because The View "is moving in a new direction creatively," the source adds.

Sheppard released a statement that read: "After careful consideration, it is time for me to move on. I am extremely grateful to Barbara Walters and Bill Gedde for giving me the opportunity. I look forward to the business opportunities that lay ahead for me and I am incredibly grateful to my View family and my fans for supporting me on this journey."

Jenny took to Twitter to say, "My View will be changing too. As will with many hard working folks. Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year ... We will be back."

The ladies are expected to complete season 17, which runs through the first week of August. They will not be on board for season 18, which starts in September.
