Wheel of Fortune Auditions Coming to Philadelphia

If you have ever dreamed of appearing on a big, flasy game show and walking away with thousands of dollars worth of cash and prizes, here's your chance.

Producers with Wheel of Fortune will be in Philadelphia later this week and they'll be holding in-person auditions.

When and Where

If you are at least 21 years old, make plans to visit The Event Center at Rivers Philadelphia at 1001 N. Delaware Ave. in Philly this Thursday and Friday, September 18th and 19th.

Auditions will be held both days from 11 AM to 3 PM and you can begin waiting in line at 10 AM.

Fun Facts About "Wheel"

  • It's original name in a pilot was "Shopper's Bazaar"
  • Hosts have included Chuck Woolery, Pat Sajak, Rolf Benirschke, Bob Goen, and Ryan Seacrest

Tips to Get On the Show

So, obviously, the million-dollar question is, what are those with the show looking for in potential contestants?

Here's what they say:

It's been our general observation through the years that contestants who play with energy, poise, focus and a sense of humor (without forgetting to call smart letters) tend to do better on the show.

In other words, watch any high-energy game show and be like those people - high-energy, bubbly, smiling, and ready to have the time of your life.

"Wheel" Timeline

And should you be picked, don't expect to be on TV next week.

Once you’re selected to be on the show, you'll enter their contestant pool. Once you're in, it may take a couple of week or even a couple of years for you to pick vowels and consonants in front of a Ryan and Vanna, but the average seems to be about 18 months.

If you're going to try out, good luck!
