
Ventnor, NJ, Hit-and-run Leaves 92-year-old Seriously Injured
A 92-year-old Ventnor resident was seriously hurt in a hit-and-run accident late last week as police continue to search for an SUV.
The Ventnor City Police Department says that at about 6:15 last Thursday evening, November 20th, they received multiple 9-1-1 calls about a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle at Ventnor and Newport Avenues.
At the scene, cops found a man lying in the roadway. He had sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
Suspect Vehicle Description and Details
Police say the accused vehicle, which fled the area westbound on Ventnor Avenue, was described as a white Volvo SUV, possibly model XC40, and it should have front passenger-side damage.
Police Request Public Assistance
The Ventnor City Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating that vehicle and its driver. Anyone with information is asked to call (609) 822-2101.
