16-year-old From Millville Fatally Shot in Bridgeton, NJ, Sunday Night

Officials in Cumberland County say a teenager from Millville was fatally shot in Bridgeton Sunday night.

According to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office, at around 8:50, members of the Bridgeton Police Department responded to Mount Vernon Street for a report of a person who had been shot.

Arriving officers located a 16-year-old man from Millville dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Authorities say their investigation is ongoing and there is no known threat to the public at this time.
