One NJ Lottery Player at ShopRite Just Won Nearly $300,000
Sure, you may have had a really good weekend, but one person in the Garden State just had the best weekend ever.
And it was all thanks to some luck and the New Jersey Lottery.
Officials said one lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning for Friday night's Jersey Cash 5 game, making that person $295,627 richer.
Jersey Cash 5 streak
This most recent victory comes as the latest in a streak of big Jersey Cash 5 winners over the past couple of weeks.
Within the past several days, someone won over $194,000 playing Jersey Cash 5 at a supermarket in Gloucester County.
Right before that, a winning ticket for the same game that was worth $136,000 was sold at a convenience store in Brigantine.
Winning numbers
The winning numbers on Friday night were 04, 10, 22, 27, and 30; the XTRA number was 04.
Lucky location
The winning ticket was sold at Shoprite of Burlington on Mount Holly Rd. Burlington Twp., Burlington County.
For their efforts, the store will receive a $2,000 bonus.
New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James Carey said in a statement, "We hope this incredible prize brings joy and happiness to the winner; we’re already looking forward to awarding another jackpot prize!”
