New details have been released regarding a missing teenager in Gloucester County from this past weekend; two people have been charged for allegedly harboring the juvenile and interfering with police.

Authorities in Monroe Township say last Friday, October 20th, 16-year-old Niani Simpkins was reported missing as a runaway.

During an investigation, police learned that the juvenile was picked up near her home by an adult and brought to Camden.

Patrol officers attempted to follow up on possible locations for the juvenile through the weekend but received misinformation and interference from adults that were harboring the juvenile.

With assistance from the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, the teen was safely located on Sunday.

As a result of the investigation, Tina Cintron and Sharell Twyman were arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and obstructing the administration of law.

Police did not indicate if Simpkins knew Cintron and/or Twyman or why the teen was brought to Camden.

After being processed, the pair was released from custody on a summons to appear.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
