Authorities in Cape May County say a man from Dennisville has been arrested for allegedly downloading child porn.

42-year-old Mark Jeffrey Wieland is facing a third-degree possession of child pornography charge.

Authorities say on May 30th, they executed a search warrant as his home in Dennis Township and seized multiple computers and cellphones.

Their investigation stemmed from a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

After being arrested and processed, Wieland was taken to the Cape May County Correctional Center pending court proceedings.

Those charged with third-degree crimes in New Jersey potentially face three to five years in state prison.
