
Cops, Teachers, Firefighters Among 11 Recently Charged in Atlantic County, NJ
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office is highlighting eleven recent alleged incidents involving those holding public office or serving in a position of community trust.
Prosecutor William Reynolds said, "We completely understand the need for the public to have confidence in the Prosecutor’s Office in making these difficult decisions and prosecuting those that breach the public’s trust. The foundation of a just society lies in the unwavering commitment to uphold the law, applying it equitably and without bias, transcending political affiliation, religion, race, creed, and gender."
The eleven cases showcased by authorities include police officers, teachers, firefighters, public servants, and more. These incidents occurred over the past several months. Officials did not offer any new information as to where these cases stand in the judicial process.
As always, charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Ryan Bonanni, Ventnor City police officer – 2nd-degree Official Misconduct, 2nd-degree Unauthorized Access, 3rd-degree Invasion of Privacy. Bonanni is accused of creating and sharing explicit surveillance footage of a woman who was in a holding cell following her arrest in June, and then sharing the videos via Snapchat.
Sebastian Flores-Huamani, corrections officer at the Atlantic County Justice Facility – 2nd-degree Official Misconduct, 2nd-degree Sexual Assault. Flores-Huamani is accused of sexually assaulting a female inmate in her cell at the Atlantic County Justice Facility while on duty.
Joshua Munyon, Atlantic City police officer – 1st-degree Sexual Assault, 2nd-degree Sexual Assault, 2nd-degree Official Misconduct. Munyon is accused of sexually assaulting a handcuffed woman in his patrol car following an incident at the Tropicana Casino.
Adriana Quirindongo, Atlantic County Family and Community Development – 2nd-degree Official Misconduct, 3rd-degree Pattern of Official Misconduct, 3rd-degree Theft by Unlawful Taking, 4th-degree Food Stamp Fraud. Quirindongo is accused of printing and using EBT cards linked to accounts of several clients while working at the Atlantic County Family and Community Development Office.
La Rodriguez, Gibbsboro police officer – 3rd-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Rodriguez is accused of possession of child pornography video material. This material was allegedly discovered on a personal device in his home and was not associated with the police department or his employment as an officer.
Leah Reedy, speech language specialist teacher, last employed by Egg Harbor Township Board of Education – 3rd-degree Resisting Arrest, 4th-degree Assault on Police. Officers responded to a call for a domestic dispute involving Reedy. When attempting to arrest her for simple assault associated with the incident, she allegedly resisted and struck the arresting officer. This incident was not associated in any way with her position as a teacher.
Joe Jenkins-Ridley, Atlantic County Public Works – 2nd-degree Official Misconduct, 2nd-degree Pattern of Official Misconduct, 2nd-degree Conspiracy, 3rd-degree Theft. Jenkins-Ridley was an employee of Atlantic County Public Works and is accused of allowing employees from his privately owned business to obtain diesel fuel from county gas pumps, using a code that he provided to them. The group allegedly stole more than $75,000 in fuel.
Matthew Robison, volunteer firefighter – 3rd-degree Theft. Robison was the treasurer of the Mays Landing Fire Company and is accused of using the company's accounts for personal use.
Jennifer Sanchez, Atlantic City police officer – 2nd-degree Official Misconduct, 2nd-degree Pattern of Official Misconduct, 3rd-degree Unauthorized Access. Sanchez is accused of misuse of police databases to locate the identity of a third-party individual. She used that information to harass and stalk a separate victim and the third-party individual, according to authorities.
Darnell Williams, counselor, Hamilton Township School District in Mays Landing – 2nd-degree Official Misconduct, 2nd-degree Sexual Assault, 2nd-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Williams is accused of sexual assault against three different juvenile victims, on three separate dates, while employed as a counselor with the Hamilton Township School District, working out of Williams Davies Middle School.
