Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Has Released The Following
On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, Courtney Griffin, 44, of Atlantic City, NJ, was sentenced to a term of three years in New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty to third-degree terroristic threats, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Background Of This Terroristic Threats Case
This dates back to October 22, 2025, when a victim filed a report with the Atlantic City Police Department.
The victim advised that Griffin had approached him/her on a sidewalk in Atlantic City. The victim said that Griffin cursed at the victim and allegedly threatened to hit the victim.
it is reported that Griffin next slammed the victim's phone to the ground and physically restrained the victim.
Further, it is alleged that Griffin threatened to strangle the victim.
This damaged the Higgins property (phone) caused the victim to have to walk to the Atlantic City Police Department, whereas the victim would have been able to call for help.
