Is that ammunition in your pants or are you just... never mind.

Authorities in Atlantic City say they recovered a stolen gun during a traffic stop late last week and the driver was arrested.

According to the Atlantic City Police Department, at around 6:00 Friday morning, September 6th, two officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in the first block of South Kentucky Avenue.

The driver, 43-year-old David Toney of Absecon, had an active warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody.

Police say during a search following his arrest, Toney was found with ammunition in his pants pocket.

During the execution of a court-authorized search warrant, officers "located a loaded handgun and additional ammunition in the vehicle."

That gun was reported stolen from Virginia.

Toney has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition, and receiving stolen property, and remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
